At Words and Sounds, we take seriously our commitment to be a responsible presence in the community while “giving back” and making the world a better place to be for all.
Apart from common initiatives such as environmental stewardship and a commitment to fair business dealings, founder Tony Gosgnach has for over 30 years been a Hamilton-area member of the Knights of Columbus community service organization, which in 2015 alone donated more than $175 million and gave more than 73.4 million hours of service worldwide.
During those three-plus decades, he has filled roles in an executive capacity, including serving as a treasurer and public relations director, and has taken part in numerous charitable and community service endeavours, such as poverty relief, blood donor clinics, fundraising, musical entertainment for shut-ins and seniors and more. For his service, he has been awarded a certificate of appreciation.
Tony has also contributed almost 500 hours so far over the past five years in providing musical entertainment for staff, patients and events at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton at the Charlton, Stoney Creek and West 5th campuses. This included performing for the ceremony when the Teresa Cascioli Charitable Foundation made a donation of $2 million to St. Joseph’s Healthcare in May 2015. He received a certificate of recognition from the system in April 2016 for 350 hours of service to that point.
Over the past 21 years, Tony has also performed media, journalistic and musical work for charities, non-profits, ministries and other organizations at reduced rates to assist their causes.
Future plans include Tony donating a portion of proceeds from the sale of upcoming books and music CDs to worthy charitable causes.
Remember that when you engage the services of Words and Sounds, you also help make our further contributions to the community possible!
